This virtual field trip will take you through the immigration process at New York’s Ellis Island from arrival, to health screenings, money exchange and finally departure. Each destination on the virtual field trip has a picture, accompanying text, and an audio option.

In addition, to the audio, sometimes there are other options that you can click on, such as a passport, or on one page there is a key to the medical chart that doctors used as they were inspecting immigrants.
